David Tibbetts
David Tibbetts is New Mexico Professional Surveyor #10024 and has over 35 years experience in the field of surveying.  He went to college in Maine and Colorado and has experience in boundary, subdivision, and forensic/environmental surveys.  He has been licensed to practice land surveying in New Mexico since February, 1987, and has primarily focused on boundary, mortgage, environmental monitoring, accident reconstruction surveys, and boundary disputes.  In 1989 and 1990 he served as a representative to the New Mexico State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.  In 1990, he served as Vice President of the New Mexico Professional Surveyors Association, and in 1993 he served as both a board member and president-elect. In 1994 he served as President of the New Mexico Professional Surveyors Association.  He has also served on the NMPS Ethical Practices Committee as chairman in 1995.  He has taught seminars as a faculty member of the National Business Institute, including “Boundary Law in New Mexico” and “Resolving Boundary Disputes.”

David Tibbetts is also a New Mexico Certified Floodplain Manager (Certificate number NM-10-00277).   Floodplain management is defined by the NMFMA as “activities and efforts undertaken to reduce flood  losses and human suffering and to protect the natural and beneficial values and functions of floodplains.”   As a CFM, he has a particular interest in assisting customers with their flood zone and flood insurance concerns.

David Tibbetts Surveying Company, LLC has been in business in Los Lunas, New Mexico since 1987.  We have primarily served the title insurance and real estate community in Valencia County, Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. We have provided surveying services for large subdivisions, farms and ranches, and suburban tract surveys.

Service Area
David Tibbetts Surveying Company performs boundary surveys in Valencia, Bernalillo, and Socorrro Counties, and provides ILR services in Valencia, Bernalillo, Sandoval and Socorro Counties. FEMA elevation certificates are confined to Valencia and Bernalillo Counties at the present time.

Service to our Community
David Tibbetts Surveying Company believes in giving back to the community.  We have donated surveying services to Habitat for Humanity of Valencia County, the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and many other charitable organizations.
